Paityn: “You currently are playing for Portland Thorns FC, how is that?”

Angerer: “I love it! It always feels good to have a shutout game or save the equalizing goal. That team also has a lot of potential, yet I do have to admit switching to that style of play is sometimes challenging. Germany has a style of play that’s more technical, where NWSL is more athletic. I’ve had several good wins with Portland Thorns FC, and many more to come. It has been an amazing season so far, and I’m happy to be a part of the team.”

Paityn: “How did you feel when you were the first person signed by Portland Thorns?”

Angerer: “It felt pretty amazing. I felt like I had made a huge accomplishment. I know there are a lot of great goalkeepers out there, like Hope Solo, who could have that honor too. I’m very glad to have been added onto their roster and it was such a pleasure. I can’t wait to see where my career will take me.”

Paityn: “What do you think your career has in store for you?”

Angerer: “I think there are a lot of great opportunities out there for me. I want to be able to take advantage of all the great things thrown my way. There are so many great players I want to play with and teams I’d enjoy being on. I want to be able to finish my career knowing that I have accomplished everything that I wanted to. I would love to experience all kinds of soccer from all over the world!”
