Am I choosing the right degree? Right School?
It is true that some schools are more notable,
however, more and more community colleges
and online colleges have made great strides in
their level of education. They have raised their
standards to meet the demands of the ‘mature
student’ returning to school.
What am I really going to learn that helps me?
Programs offered at many career colleges
emphasize group learning and team work -
so important today. Students work closely with
instructors and their classmates. Group work
and interaction enables students to
learn from other professionals with varying
work experiences.

New knowledge acquired from group interaction
can immediately be applied in the workplace.
Will it really make a difference in my career?
The number one reason: many ‘mature’
students report that going back to school and
gaining a degree helped with promotion and
career advancement opportunities. Many report
that they gained invaluable knowledge and
experience that helped prepare them to manage
their own business.
Finally, the pride they felt with their
accomplishment and the benefit of leading by
example for their children. Helping to prepare
and motivate their children to attend college
and earn a degree.
