Women Equality In Movement

At first, this moving translation stuff seemed very hard and I thought that I wouldn’t understand it no matter how hard I tried. But it was actually way easier than it really was.

First, you needed to plot down all of your points of your pre image and your image

Then, you have to write down the coordinate points of our preimage and image (preferably written in a clockwise order so that when the lines connect, they’re not crossing in places you don’t want)

Afterwards, you enter the formula t=0 and change the values to range from 0 to 5. This means that we want our pre image to translate over to the image in 5 seconds. Then we press play.

Next, you take the x value of one coordinate point from your pre image and one from your image and find the slope of it.

Ex: Pre- (5,1) Image- (2,5)

m=2-5/5-0

We do the usual x2-x1 with the two x values, but the bottom will always be 5-0 because that’s what we set our time to be. And this whole equation is basing itself on position/time kinda like physics. Once we get the slope, we put t in front of it followed by adding it’s begining x position. That way, it makes a linear equation.

Ex: -3/5t+5

Make a table and add the above into the first x slot because we used the x values

Then you take the y value of one coordinate point from your pre image and one from your image and find the slope of it.

Ex: Pre- (5,1) Image- (2,5)

m=5-1/5-0

We do y2-y1 with the two y values, but the bottom will always be 5-0 because that’s what we set our time to be. Once we get the slope, we put t in front of it followed by adding it’s begining y position. Tada, a linear equation!

Ex: m=4/5t+1

Add this equation into the first y slot in the table previously made. We put it in y because we used y values

Continue doing this process for all of your points until you’ve come to the last coordinates

As the x and y slots are completed, the lines will begin to transform from the pre-image to the image

So with all that in mind, I plotted my pre image to look like the female sign, Venus, because my magazine topic is going to be about Women Empowerment. After that, I plotted my image to be an equal sign because I’m looking to empower women so that we’re held to and equal standard as men are today.
