Edmonton Dream Centre
Inspiring Hope, Empowering Women, Transforming Lives
Our focus, passion and commitment is understanding recovery is a process; one that requires
new thinking and new support systems in new environments. We understand that addiction
and mental illness can affect more than the afflicted; it can tear at the fabric of friendships,
families and communities as well. That’s why we are committed to serve women who suffer
the pain of addiction, trauma, and vulnerable pasts to make lifelong changes through faith,
hope, healing and recovery.
The Edmonton Dream Centre provides women with the tools to take responsibility for
their own recovery process. Equipped with education, individual counselling, group
therapy, life-skills training and coaching, women can discover new ways to impact their
thoughts, behaviours and, ultimately, their future. We believe in treating the whole person
(psychologically, socially, mentally, physically and spiritually) to bring about optimal well-
being through the program. We accomplish this through residential living within the centre
for both the women and their children and offer a life-skills development program with
parenting programs and support, thus creating a positive impact on future generations as well.
Rebuilding one woman’s life can break the cycle of addiction and has a positive
ripple effect in our communities. The passion of our team and vibrancy of our
organization directly impacts the lives of women in enduring ways.
•
We ensure that women who enter our program are empowered to stay
sober beyond our doors by giving them the skills to acclimate back into
society and connect with the community.
•
We offer mentoring support and career coaching to support independent
living and sustainability.
•
By providing the opportunity for children to reside with their mothers,
The Edmonton Dream Centre supports women’s growth as parents to
not just heal the women in crisis, but to restore families as well.
Our mission requires a greater reach so that we can assist more women in crisis.
We are excited to announce we are embarking on a new journey of growth. To
serve four times our current capacity, we need to build for the future! We can’t
stay here, so we are expanding and ‘re-branding’ ourselves to reach more women
and their children.
Inspiring hope, empowering women and transforming lives – this is the
heartbeat of what we do and how we serve! Watch for our new Name and Logo.
Official unveiling is at our Evening of Dreams on October 5, 2017! Join us for
this exciting event!
