Yes people, it’s that time of the year. A
time when all the little children gather in
one hall dressed in sequins and chiffon
and lace and ties and suede and leather
and dance the night away, pretending to
have fun. Prom. Or, as we New Zealand
folk call it, the formal/ball. It’s supposed
to be a great night-among the best in your
life, however, there is huge pressure,
especially for us lasses about the dress,
makeup and hair style we will be
presented in on the Big Night. So, to make
your prom/formal/ball/hell as bearable as
possible, I’ve put together a list of shops
and websites you can visit to get yourself
sorted!
I recently had my formal, and honestly, it
was better than I expected, besides the
‘meh’ food, and average music. I just had
fun with my gals, and forgot about
everyone else. I think that’s the best way
to do it. If you are seriously dreading the
night, just remember, it’s what you make
of it. Good luck, and make the most of it.
It is, after all, just one night of your life.
