[ WM ] You have a Signature Bass made by Ricardo S Guitars named after you … tell us about that ?
[ Mike ] I was on a mission to create a “ Bass for Bassists .” ( laughing ) Meaning , I wanted to offer a high-quality product that was an exact replica of what I use myself . I feel like we see signature models , but I ’ ve always wondered if what is under the hood , is the same as the artists actual bass ? Many people have asked how to get “ my sound .” So , we sought out to design a bass I would actually use , as they say , “ bang for the buck !”
So working with Ricardo Sanchez in Nashville , we designed a 60 ’ s inspired Jazz Bass with some modern twists . I am super happy with what we are offering and I know the consumer will be as well .
It has an Alder Body with 60 ’ s spaced Nordstrand NJ5F Pickups , Nordstrand 2B + Preamp and Hipshot hardware . A 3A Roasted Maple Neck w / Rosewood Fretboard , inlays and binding . All hand made for $ 1800.00 U . S .

[ WM ] Outline your ‘ live rig ’ on stage for us .
[ Mike ] The truth is , since most our dates are fly dates and backline companies vary from country to country , I learned to create my sound regardless of what I was provided at the concert . Live or in Studio , I travel with my same setup .
