Full disclosure: I use a lot more guitar stands than you might imagine. Sure, anyone who plays either acoustic or electric guitar( or electric bass like me) for that matter needs a guitar stand of some sort on the worship platform. And like us all, you want the stand to be sturdy. Nothing worse than sitting in the congregation after your worship team has led your local church well and your pastor is just getting to the main part of the message when you see your guitar stand start to tilt and then it happens … your electric guitar falls from its stand- hits your Fender amp first with a loud reverb tank“ twang“ on the way to the floor with an even louder“ thud”. Back to my main thought … I use more than the usual guitar stands because of the“ live” events I produce. With three regional guitar shows a year on the West Coast, a bluegrass festival I exhibit guitars at and the Christian Musician Summit conference, I have five times a year where I need anywhere from 15-20 guitar stands to pile into my car along with all the guitars. The guitars are usually a mix of vintage, new and used acoustic and electric guitars along with a few basses. Basses themselves can be challenging for some guitar stands. And no matter what stand you use, you need it to not mar or blemish the guitars finish … especially on vintage instruments.
When it comes to choosing a single guitar stand, it is wise to make sure your stand fits your needs well and keeps your instrument secure. So, I decided to round up several different guitar stand models from different manufacturers. The pricing varies as much as the style and feature sets, from $ 39.99 to $ 129.99. And whether your guitar is valued at $ 500 or $ 5,000, you certainly want it perched safely on your guitar stand either way. I am not going to crown one of them“ the best” over the others as again – your needs and preferences vary. I liked each one of these stands for different reasons, and I have a few thoughts about each one.

Guitar Stand- Red Oak I usually carry six or seven of these with me to my guitar events. Hanging several nice acoustic guitars in a row on my exhibit tables just looks great with these Zither stands. Not to mention one in your living room. If you go back and forth with your own stand to your services or to a mobile church venue, you will want to make sure the nice wood doesn’ t get dinged up.
