to your tablet. Nice! If you choose to use an internal battery, there is an auto shut-off function that occurs after 10 minutes of no Bluetooth connection.
So, whether the app you’ re using is Music Stand, Charts, OnSong, forScore, Paperless, or most any other chart app, I’ m confident you can quickly be scrolling back and forth through your music.
I am a big fan of the fourth mode selection with the“ space bar” and“ return” key. This would be useful if you are practicing with a DAW like Ableton. The“ space bar” stomp will start and stop playback. As well, you can use the“ Left / Right” arrow key mode to Stomp through a PowerPoint or ProPresenter presentation. So, the possibilities go far beyond rehearsing music, that’ s for certain. The Bluetooth connectivity will work up to about 50 feet. This is helpful if you’ re using it to control a DAW or display app from a distance.
Recently, I setup a page-turning device for someone at church and I was less than impressed. The Bluetooth connection seemed questionable, the physical product seemed easy to damage( or destroy), and the“ press” action had no real feel to it. It was hard to know you’ ve engaged the action and was quite frustrating. Compare that experience to the Coda Stomp and it is night and day. The Coda Stomp is lightweight aluminum but feels sturdy as a tank. The footprint is small enough to not get in the way and its settings buttons are secure so to not cause accidents.
So, if you’ re a guitar player or keyboard player and you don’ t want to keep letting go to change your music when rehearsing … OR maybe you’ re a worship leader and you have nobody to run lyrics for you this Sunday … this is for you. Well worth the MSRP of $ 159.95.
