of genres . While both of these guitars sound killer , I also want to point out the masterful work I have noticed in the Veritas brand . I have played many guitars throughout the years , but when I hold one of these I immediately get the sense of how well made and crafted these instruments are . Casey and the guys at Veritas build and perform at an extremely high level and are real craftsmen that have dialed in the art of building guitars . Though the price point may seem high , it is totally worth it . Definitely check out their Custom and Pro Series options !
Guitar Amp ( s ): I grew up not really able to afford a tube amp , so I learned how to craft tone through solid states . Though it was difficult , I am grateful for it because as I started playing real amps , I knew exactly what to look and listen for when dialing tone on any amplifier . That being said , one of my favorite amps is the Roland Jazz Chorus . I have a small JC-22 where I am able to plug in stereo and use a single amp while still accomplishing a stereo field of effects . Other than that , my favorite tube amps are the Fender Princeton and the Bad Cat Cub !
Effect Pedals : I do pedals demos on YouTube so I am always trying out new things . I think the most exciting thing for me right now is the Shnobeltone Daily Driver Overdrive , the Jet Pedals Revelation V2 , and the new MKII versions of the Walrus Audio Mako Series . The Daily Driver is just hands down my favorite drive pedal that can do it all with a simple layout . The Revelation has some of the prettiest ambient reverb sounds in the market that completely puts you in the worship guitar tone territory . Finally , the Mako Series , which consists of the M1 Modulation , the D1 Delay , the R1 Reverb , and the ACS1 Amp and Cab Simulator have been called the big box killers . Each unit has multiple effects that can be tailored to a “ T ”. The coolest thing is that the new MKII versions have a built-in screen for easier programmability , especially when dealing with time-based effects .
