After Your Heart. I have always loved the McClure’ s but there is something to this album that has some of the richest lyrics. They’ ve become personal anthems for me lately and I can’ t get away from them. Songs like“ Feet of Jesus” and“ You Have My Heart” are some favorites.
Some advice for your fellow worship guitar players: Never downplay the significance of where you are in your journey right now. It is very important that you are right where you are right now and that you lean in, and find what the Lord is teaching you and having you grow in. Also, enjoy the process, enjoy being creative, and serve the song well!
One other thing is to be so intentional to honor those around you. It’ s so easy to shift your heart to complaining, or to tear others down because it may make you feel like you will get ahead. Think about others and speak about others the way you would want them to think and speak about you when you are not around. And remember that it is the Lord who sees all, blesses and promotes. And He deeply cares about your heart and who you are more than a flashy gift.
