The community is also encouraged
to help donate towards the cause. A
“gift registry” has been established at
Laramie’s Sherwin-Williams (2900
Grand Avenue), who will donate up
to 10 gallons of paint to the project.
Items on the registry range from
painters tape, brushes, trays, drop
cloths and paint. Items range from
$3 to $60, with items being left at the
store for mural artists to pick up.
The Laramie Mural Project is a
partnership between the University
of Wyoming Art Museum and the
Laramie Main Street Alliance.
Since 2011, it has encouraged local
artists to reflect Laramie’s cultural
assets through large-scale murals
and public art initiatives. For more
information, visit: www.facebook.
com/LaramieMuralProject or call
the Main Street office at 307-7603355. If you are a donor and/or
participant, be sure to snap a pic of
the experience and add #manyhands
when you post on Facebook or
Instagram! (And send it to us, we’d
love to share!) WLM
