June Johnston of Star Valley has loved writing since her
youth but life took her through being a bank teller,
decorator, and, most recently, before retirement, owner
of Western Shadows Gallery in Evanston, Wyoming.
She now has a column in the Star Valley Independent
called “Life in the Loony Lane.” June and her husband
Bob are great grandparents to six and love life in
Star Valley, Wyoming with their two toy Pomeranians,
Cricket and Bandit.
Casey Adams grew up in Pinedale and returned to
her hometown after attending Duke University. After
spending a couple years as editor of the Pinedale
Roundup, she found the love of her life and an
exciting career opportunity in Lander. She has been
PR specialist and writer at the National Outdoor
Leadership School (NOLS) for the past three years.
Her husband is her favorite triathlon buddy, but she
ventured into “team sports” for the second annual
Cowboy Tough Adventure Race this year with a crew of new friends, an
adventure that simply had to be shared.
Beau Jonston is a mechanical engineer, writer, and
photographer based in Casper. Passionate about
the outdoors and the outdoor life
