Kim’s love of art extends to
abstracts as well. She has
expertise in several media,
including “India ink,” a black
or colored ink used widely when
inking comic book strips and
illustrations, watercolors, and
much more. Her artwork has
been her personal joy. Kim’s
husband indulges and facilitates
her passion. The home he built for
her years back had one request
from Kim – a loft with a view
from which she could work. The
end result is a perfect fit. Calling
it “the most romantic thing in the
world,” Kim utilizes the loft and
its creative energy to its fullest.
“He calls it ‘my nest,’” Kim says.
“I come up here and create.”
We met Riverton-based Virginia
Ruth Photography through our
Wyoming Weddings publication
this year, and when she shared
Kim’s photo shoot with us, we
knew it would be fun to share.
“The eclectic collection of textures
and colors combined with all the
intricate details of the studio, all
bathed in natural light, helped
make this session a joy to capture,”
Virginia says. “Any session that
includes a unique, talented and
gracious person like Kimmie is just
that much more enjoyable.” WL M
