Creating
with Meraki:
the Work of
Kim Draper

rom her loft studio overlooking the Wind
River Mountains near Riverton, artist Kim
Draper focuses on one word: meraki. It’s
the central theme she shares with Aeon Studio
business partner and Florida resident, Thomas
Michael. “Everything we do, we do with meraki,”
says their website, aeon.studio. Defined as “meraki
(v.) … to do something with soul, creativity or love: to put
something of yourself into your work,” this “small but
powerful boutique agency” specializes in creative
illustrations, artistic work and graphic design to
shape the passions of entrepreneurs nationwide.
Thomas and Kim embarked upon their adventure
with Aeon Studio in September of 2015, after four
years of friendship. Thomas creates their pieces,
sending them to Kim to make into illustrations;
their projects are available for stock usage, and
they find joy in creating commissioned pieces for
clients. A long-time artist in her own right, having
practiced art and design for over 20 years, Kim is
currently a designer/public notices at the Riverton
Ranger newspaper, and is working on special
