WLM | my Wyoming craving
WLM: Tell us about your history in Wyoming, your career, etc.
CB: I am retired from the Air Force, which is what initially brought
me to Cheyenne in 2002. I retired from the service in 2006. Shortly
after retirement, I went to work for Trihydro Corporation in Laramie for
approximately five years, and then took a position with the State of
Wyoming in The Department of Environmental Quality as a compliance
inspector. My position requires a considerable amount of travel
throughout the state, which also gives me the opportunity to photograph
different locations year round.
WLM: What’s your favorite part of Wyoming to photograph?
CB: I really do not have a favorite part of Wyoming that I enjoy
photographing over another. I have learned that regardless of where
you are, beauty is something you choose to see. Even in the most barren
locations, there is always something unique to that one place which I
want to find. There are thousands of photographs of the Grand Tetons, Old
Faithful and Devils Tower. I enjoy finding the places off the grid; places
that others, including lifelong residents, never knew existed.
