an Experience
I
met Clayton Bullock of Cheyenne through images he ’ d post on our WLM Facebook or Instagram feeds . I ’ ve been a long-time fan of Clayton ’ s images , but also the poetry that accompanies them . As someone who enjoys writing and using inspirational moments to jot down feelings and memories for later , his efforts fell close to home . I appreciate the opportunity to celebrate Clayton ’ s images and writing , and am excited for what I ’ ll see pop up when he next tours Wyoming .
WLM : How did you discover an interest in photography ?
CB : My interest in photography stemmed from my desire to share with family and friends all the beautiful places I have had the opportunity to visit through work and leisure travel . Smart phones and social media initially played an instrumental role in leading me down this path ; they gave me the ability to share photographs quickly from nearly anywhere I traveled . My only limiting factors were my smart phone and the availability of mobile service . Soon after I started sharing my photographs , I began to learn how much others were enjoying them ; I have also discovered that I have a good eye for composition . Photography then became a hobby . I had the desire to take higher quality photographs and push my abilities , which ultimately led me to purchase higher quality equipment , take some photography classes , and continue the search for the grand , the epic and the unseen ( by me ).
