Its collaboration with the CI Club also meant that WeePE has gained recognition amongst the students in Wee Kim Wee. It was also awarded ‘Best Initiative Award’ during CS Week. There are currently 78 active members in WeePE. It has become an avenue for sports enthusiasts to publicise and encourage peers to take part in sporting competitions outside of school such as Surf and Sweat, which is organised by NTU’s Sports Club. WeePE hopes to reach out to the whole Wee Kim Wee population with its belief that in WeePE, everyone is someone.
Through polls on our Facebook site, the committee gains feedback on the sport to organise for the week. WeePE has conducted Captain’s Ball, Pilates, Futsal, Plyometrics, Frisbee, and Hip-hop thus far. WeePE also serves as a platform for students to step up and conduct weekly sessions themselves. Even Miss Deana Kanagasingam, a staff member at WKWSCI, conducted Pilates for one of the WeePE sessions. “I’m very supportive of student-run initiatives.
