Inter-School Recreational Games

At the Inter-School Recreational Games (ISRG) 2013, WKW’s all-girls team scored our first bronze medal for Blokus at the team event. The team consisting of Cherie Yeo, Nurul Amirah Haris, Tan Yanger and myself brought down seasoned players from other schools to emerge victorious. I was also really happy to have bagged the silver medal for the individual category, adding to WKW’s medal count. Despite being green to the game, our girls went on to represent NTU at the Inter-Tertiary Board Gaming Challenge 2013 and even brought home the silver medal. This year’s ISRG brought students from different batches together and exposed our students to some very interesting and intriguing board games. It was a close call for the players who represented Wee Kim Wee at Quoridor, Othello, Quarto and Chinese Chess. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to those who participated in ISRG 2013 and we look forward to seeing more recreational game players next year. 20
