So, you must know the love stories to believe that love is everlasting. 1. Salim and Anarkali Salim and Anarkali are one of the famous love stories in Indian history. Their love story 100 is a big hit and melts us even today. Salim was a Mughal prince whereas Anarkali was an ordinary courtesan. The girl was known for her beautiful dancing skills. The young Prince Salim feel for Anarkali’s divine beauty. While both were in deep love, The emperor Akbar(Salim’s father) learned about the going story. Sadly, the emperor was against his son’s love for a dancing girl. Then, Salim, went against his father and declared war between them. Akbar’s army defeated the young prince and he was about to be killed Akbar’s army as per the war rules. But Anarkali came forward to take the punishment. Prithviraj and Samyukta Prithviraj Chauhan and Samyukta’s is a popular love story. This story says “all is fair in love and war”. You know why? King Prithviraj and Princess Samyukta were in love. But Samyukta’s father Jaichand did not want his daughter to marry her love. He organized a swayamwar where all the kings were invited except Prithviraj. Instead, he made a statue of Prithviraj and placed it at the door as a doorman. This was an act to humiliate her daughter’s love(Prithviraj). Samyukta replied in her way to her father- She went and put the garland to Prithviraj’s statue. Here comes, a filmy twist, Prithviraj stood right behind his own statue and escaped from the place holding Samyukta. At last, Prithviraj was defeated by other King named Mohammad Ghori. Princess Samyukta performed Jauhar and killed herself. 3.Laila and Majnu Laila and Majnu is a real story that is immortal. This legendary story is a well- known tale of love, purity and passion. Laila was a young and prettiest girl from a rich family. As she was from a wealthy family, her family wanted her to marry a guy from another rich family. But the boy named Qays who was a poet stole her heart. He wrote beautiful poems for her as he was deeply in love with her.
