Festivals
For the most part, all the Sikh
festivals are celebrated with
regard to the culture of life of
the Sikh Gurus. Just as hindu’s
look into the calendar and
celebrate festivals. Likewise,
Sikhs have nanakshahi calendar
to see dates and celebrate their
festivals.
This Nanakshahi calendar is
monitored by the Gurudwara
Prabhandak Committee. This
committee organizes festivals
across all Gurudwaras. Except
for festivals like Hola Mohalla,
Diwali and Gurunanak’s
birthday, every other festival
is followed according to
Nanakshahi.
