Battle of Pratapgad This battle which took place in 1960 gave a chance of establishing Maratha empire. Afzal Khan the the Mughal empire destroyed the temples. Khan failed to do what he planned and moved to Pratapgad. Shivaji sent Khan a message saying that he wants peace rather than war. After this, both the kings decided to meet directly with no army but only with nine bodyguards for each. A single bodyguard was standing outside the tent where Shivaji and Khan planned to meet. 90 and his army which means he lost the battle. Battle of Umberkhind The battle took place in the year 1661. The warriors were Shivaji and Kartalab Khan. Khan’s started the war to cut down Shivaji’s power in Konkan region but they dint attack openly. Though Mughals dint attack directly, Shivaji was ready to fight and attacked Khan and his troops. Battle of Pavakhind This was the war that Shivaji fought with a solid and bigger army as an opponent. Mughals planned to get rid of Shivaji. On other hand, the Abyssinian general of repute Siddi Jauhar also joined hands with Mughals. In addition to these two forces, British also supported Khan came with small dagger in his coat and Shivaji came with armour underneath his coat and also took a wagh nakha with him. Khan tired to attack Shivaji and Shivaji fought back. Khan was injured with this small war and he sustain with many injuries for few days. Later Khan died.
