Aadhaar Link Is Mandatory
For PM- Kisan Income Support Scheme
PM Kisan income support scheme was
introduced last year. As per the scheme
government is supposed to provide the income
support to the farmers. The farmer families in
the country gets the support income of Rs 6000
per year. This support is given to the farmers in
installments of Rs 2000 every four months.
This income is applicable only for the
farmers whose aadhaar card is linked to their
respective bank accounts. The new rule of
aadhaar link for this scheme is applicable from
fourth installment which is due in March 2020.
After the activation of the scheme, this is the
coming up installment is the fourth one. Up to
three installments government provided the
farmer income without any aadhaar linking.
Now, it is a strong demand to link aadhaar
to the bank accounts.
Currently, the department authenticated the
50 million accounts which are eligible for the
farmers income with aadhaar authentication.
The release of funds is expected to
be around 10,000 crore on day when
economic growth falls down. For the last two
installments of December 2018 and March
2019, government disbursed money to 10
million farmers.
