Asima Chatterjee
Asima Chatterjee is the first female scientist of India. She
worked keenly on natural products with special reference
to medicinal chemistry. She received a number of awards
for her contribution to the science and technology field.
The present and future of science and technology in India
is a reflection of her work.
She published around 400 papers in national and
international journals. Most of her publications were also
part of textbooks. She is a true inspiration for women who
are interested to work in the science and technology field.
Kiran Bedi
She is the first woman IPS(Indian Police Service) of India.
She was also a former Tennis champion in 1972. She is
the founder of two organizations Navajyoti and India Vision
Foundation. The organizations are to work on eliminating
drug addiction and helps women. She also introduced yoga
and literacy programmes for at Tihar jail which is a great
initiative. She penned 12 books on her experience in Tihar
jail, India’s corruption, scams. She never spared anyone
who parked vehicles in the wrong way, not the former PM
of India, Indra Gandhi. She stood for justice and braveness.
Everyone’s destiny is not success but everyone’s journey
must be of best efforts. All the ladies mentioned in the list
believed in aiming the big and the rest followed them. The
inspirational women of India made a difference in the nation.
They worked and served to be the best personalities. All the
great ladies are not only inspiration for Indians but the true
pride of India.
Mahaswetah Devi
She is known as a vocal advocate for tribal people. She
also made an identity for herself with her poem, short
stories and novels. She received the Sahitya Akademi
Award and also many other prestigious awards. She said,
“real history is made by ordinary people.” Her writings also
included such inspirational quotes and made her a great
author. She completely dedicated her life to writing and
social activities.
