FESTIVAL TO FESTIVE
by Annabel Birtles
Summer is well on its way out and with the imminent
arrival of dark nights and the need to set your alarm early
to defrost the car upon us, you can all join me in a sigh as
we say goodbye to the heat.
If you’re like me who leaves summer kicking and screaming,
with the joy of no makeup days replaced by the fear of dry
skin and thick foundation, then you’ll have to grin and bear
this months transitional theme as there is no escape for any
of us.
This month, I am bringing you my best tips and my favourite
products to go from summer to winter to give you plenty of
time to get over those summer blues.
BRONZER AT THE READY
Bronzing powder is your new best
friend. Fake tanning your face is all well
and good but unless you’re a pro I would
stick to the bronzer to avoid a potential
disaster. The best bronzer in the business
is Sun Stalk’r instant warmth bronzer
by Fenty Beauty. Available in 8 different
shades the bronzing powder gives you a
perfect matte finish for all over warmth
or the ultimate contour. It is longwear
and transfer resistant to give you that
sun-soaked glow all day long.

TIME TO SWAP THE TINTED
MOISTURISER FOR FOUNDATION
Unfortunately, your tinted moisturiser or
your BB cream just isn’t going the make
the cut in the cold.
But don’t worry, my pick of the NARS sheer
glow foundation is the best switch. The
complexion brightening formula works
wonders throughout the cold months and
leaves skin hydrated, softer and smoother.
It leaves you with a natural looking finish
and a lightweight glow and is available in
40 shades.

MOULIN ROUGE BABY SMOKEY
Kiss goodbye to the gloss and
switch out for a matte red. Anyone
who knows me, knows my staple
look is a red lip, my makeup bag
is never complete without one
and neither should yours. Matte
is perfect for a night out but don’t
forget to keep your lip balm at the
end of your fingertips for the next
few months as cold means cracks!
There can only be one winner for a
matte red and that is Ruby Woo by
MAC, the devilish tones will make
you stand out and be the talk of
the town. 1 – 0 to Winter. I love a smokey eye. Urban decay cosmetics
Blackout and Diamond Dog eyeshadows are THE products to
create this sultry glam. A smokey blown out look will make your
eyes pop and it is the ultimate winter makeup. It’s impossible not
to suit this style and when done properly, all eyes will be on you.
