NASA LANDS IN HOYLAKE
Red light therapy is live ! LUME PBM held a low key opening event to launch the North ’ s very first photobiomodulation centre . Hosted at the Under ground Training Station in Hoylake , their wholebody Mitogen light pod was unveiled to the public . Red light therapy uses completely safe , medical grade LEDs in both the red and near infra-red part of the spectrum . The light gently penetrates the skin and surrounding tissues to target the way the cells work . Red light therapy or photobiomodulation is proven to improve cellular energy , circulation and drainage making a powerful tool across the whole body with no side effects .
Some key applications that we got into on the night were :
Skin health – red light is already used by celebrities and models as it is clinically proven to improve the blood supply to the skin and stimulate collagen production , reducing the harmful effects of solar UV exposure . Reducing inflammation opens a fantastic angle for helping manage acne , psoriasis and eczema .
Sleep – is probably the first thing clients will notice after using the light pod . Red light therapy stimulates melatonin production . Poor sleep is linked to many chronic conditions and can be exacerbated by anxiety and depression .
Brain health – the brain uses 25 % of all the energy produced and if this is affected then we notice brain fog and fatigue . The infra-red portion of the light travels deep into the brain and improves energy production . The brain is the most mitochondrial dense organ anywhere in your body and so this can have a massive impact . Research is highlighting great success with red light to help manage Parkinson ’ s and Alzheimer ’ s Disease .
Aches and pains – red light therapy is clinically proven to reduce inflammation and pain associated with arthritis and exercise . It is a fantastic supplement to reduce dependence on analgesia without the side effects .
