Wirral Food & Drink Festival
Saturday 7 – Sunday 8 September
The Wirral Borough of Culture team are cooking up a
storm with the help of Wirral-born chef, Paul Askew
to create a delicious event which is guaranteed to get
your mouth-watering. The inaugural Wirral Food &
Drink Festival takes place from Saturday 7 - Sunday 8
September in Birkenhead Park and will be an experience
to remember.
Fusing together home-grown talent and local produce,
the two-day gastronomic celebration will be the culinary
highlight of Wirral Borough of Culture 2019. Visitors
can expect to see local businesses and traders showcase
products from across the region including European
street food, local distilleries offering beers and spirits, a
wine bar, sweet treats and a barista coffee bar to name a
few.
Food demos from chef Paul Askew and friends will take
place throughout the day allowing guests to not only
taste the borough but enjoy dishes time and again from
the comfort of their own home. There will also be arts
and entertainment perfectly paired with the culinary
creations to celebrate the creativity of the Liverpool City
Region Borough of Culture 2019.
The event is free to attend with entry to the chef
demonstrations on a first come, first served basis.
