WIRRAL KAYAK CHALLENGE

This year ' s Wirral Kayak Challenge took place on Sunday 11th June , in aid of Claire House Children ' s Hospice , Stick n Step and The Holistic Cancer Centre .
Organiser Mike Dudley said : " The event went very well . We started at Harrison Drive beach at 7am , finishing at the Dee Sailing Club Thurstaston around 5.30pm . This year we had 108 kayakers and 14 paddleboardersn who headed out into the Irish Sea , towards the sandbank behind Hilbre Islands .
" At Dee Sailing Club , there was entertainment on for everyone and a delicious BBQ . New Brighton Radio were there and supported our event again for the third year running .
" We would like to thank New Brighton RNLI , Angie and her amazing team at Dee Sailing Club Thurstaston , and MES Marine Racing Team Yamaha Marine UK .
