BRETT JONES 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY 10K FUN RUN

Almost 100 Runners turned up in Hoylake on Saturday 13th May for the ten-year anniversary of the Brett Jones 10K Fun Run and Junior ‘ Golden Mile ’.
For the past decade family and friends from Wallasey Amateur Boxing Club , tri-4-life & Prenton Rugby Club have joined together In remembrance & friendship of Brett whilst raising funds for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund .
A wave of commemorative Gold t-shirts could be seen tracing this now familiar route along the Wirral coastline .
The Quickest man on the day was Sam Stott 37:29 from Wallasey ABC and Siobhan Hanlon from tri-4- life was the quickest lady in a time of 46:32 . There were memorable moments ‘ Boxing with Brett ’, and ringing the ‘ The Last Half Bell ’.
Congratulations to all the runners , joggers , walkers , pram pushers , dog walkers and others for making it such a special event . The sun shone all day with plenty of hugs , smiles and high fives crossing the finish line . A huge thanks as always to the Brett Jones 10K event organisers , helpers , marshals , timekeepers & photographers .
