GORDALE FOOD FESTIVAL
Gordale held their Food Festival on Saturday
9th and Sunday 10th February 2019 which
was devoted to tasting and talking about
glorious food and drink.
Award-winning celebrity Chef Paul Askew,
along with BBC TV Chef Ellis Barrie teamed
up for lively and entertaining demonstration
sessions, where guests saw first hand how
they effortlessly rustle up restaurant-style
dishes for audience tasting! Cooking tips, food
provenance and tastings were in abundance to
help visitors re-create these impressive menus
at home.
Also on display was over 30 purveyors of
artisan produce in the Farmers’ Market. Stalls
included Birling’s Confectionery, Hemingways,
Harvie’s Pies and the Carslake Tea Company,
with taste-bud temptations on sale throughout
the weekend.
