THE BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL BALL IN AID
OF CLAIRE’S 40 FOR 40 (CLAIRE HOUSE)
A fabulous evening was held at Wallasey
Town Hall to remember Claire Cain, the
inspiration behind Claire House, to mark the
occasion of her 40th birthday.
The event was hosted by Claire’s mum, dad and
family. It was attended by just over 200 guests
including many of Claire’s school friends, her
teacher from primary school and the Mayor &
Mayoress of Wirral.
Chris Cain said: "Thank you to everyone that
came. We were delighted to have some of the
parents who use the services at Claire House
join us too.
"The evening was a great success with the
guests enjoying a three course meal by Cheeky
Chilli Events, live entertainment from Sing Me
Merseyside Choir and Bow Selectas. There were
lots of prizes to be won throughout the evening
kindly donated by our generous supporters.
"Joelle Broad, Claire’s best friend, played a
moving tribute on the violin accompanied
by her husband Stephen, then Claire’s family
shared some special memories with the guests.
"A huge thank you to everyone who supported
the event with a special thanks to Roger Phillips
who compered the evening and to all the staff
at Wallasey Town Hall for all their help and
support.
"The Bright and Beautiful Ball raised £14,000
which takes Claire’s 40 for 40 campaign
fundraising total to over £60,000.
"It has been an emotional few months as many
of Claire's school friends turned 40 this year,
but seeing them come together to fundraise in
Claire's memory has also been very special.
Claire would be very proud of what has been
achieved in her name."
