SUMMER POPS
Shot by Bernard Rose
The first Summer Pops event on Wirral took place
at Neston Cricket Club in July. The family fun day
was put together by Radio City’s Pez Tellett in aid of
Neston Community Centre. The event attracted a huge
crowd who all enjoyed a great day in the sunshine.
With a fairground, Zorb park and assault course as
well as a kids stage in the marquee there was plenty
for the family to do. There was also a large selection
of food to choose from to keep the energy levels up!
Hosted by Radio City’s Pete Price, the Main Stage
provided an afternoon of quality entertainment for
everyone, starting with a Disney themed Prince and
Princess’s show and Cbeebies Mr Bloom delighting the
younger audience before Marc Kenny, Tony as Robbie
(Britain’s number one Robbie Williams Tribute act)
and Wirral’s own Insanity Beach got the party jumping
before International US Soul sensations Odyssey took
to the stage to perform all their hits including Native
New Yorker and the UK Number 1 Use it Up and Wear
it out. Summer Pops returns next year on Sunday 5th
July and early bird tickets go on sale in December. See
you there!
