W FEATURE L Newborn photography is really taking off in the UK, what are you doing to respond to the increase in demand? Whilst we are often inundated with enquiries, we have made a conscious choice not to increase the number of sessions we offer. We book a limited number of newborns each month to ensure that we can give all our families the high end and bespoke service they expect. Babies rarely arrive on schedule and this flexibility is key to our ethos - we are happy to limit our numbers and keep our quality service. This is why we recommend our mums-to-be book early, around their 20-week scan to secure their place in our diary. You have recently been awarded a global accolade, with a place in the Top 75 Newborn Baby Blogs compiled by Feedspot Blogreader. How important is your blog to the business? Our blog is a key part of our business. We use it to showcase a selection of our sessions, so that prospective clients can view our work and decide if our approach and style of photography is right for them. We also use our blog as a cornerstone in our aim to support new parents on their journey through pregnancy to the early days with their new baby. Being able to create relevant articles and share information to help them gives us a lot of personal satisfaction, as we know from our own experiences how bewildering it can be at times as a new mum or dad. What’s next for Amberlight Images? We absolutely love what we do. Our focus remains on providing an exceptional service to our clients. We are also excited about a new project working closely with some other local baby businesses to provide support and information to prospective and new parents on the Wirral.
