The Big Squeeze
Did you know that 1 out of every 3 adults
have high blood pressure? High blood pressure can
permanently damage your heart and can lead to heart
attacks and heart failure. Come have your blood pressure
checked! Free blood pressure screenings and health
education. 6–7pm. 1st Tuesday of the month in February,
April, June, August, and October in 2015. This program is
in partnership with Augusta Health.
Rhythm and Blues from the 40’s,
50’s, and 60’s
Join us for this monthly class where we listen to original
recordings and discuss the stories behind the music
including its history, recording artists, disc jockeys, and the
music business of the period. 5:30–6:30pm, 1st Tuesdays

Free Income Tax Preparation
Service
Valley VITA will be offering free tax preparation of both
federal and state income tax returns for eligible taxpayers
with income of $51,000 or less. This service will be
available at Booker T. Washington Community Center in
Staunton on Thursday evenings (4–8pm) from FebruaryApril. Preparers are IRS trained and certified. Appointments
are recommended but walk-ins will be accepted if time
