Tradition Never Graduates
On Wednesday , October 26 , 2022 , William Smith ’ 00 held a valuable Chapel Talk in which he connected the importance of the foundational pillars that unite all Saint David ’ s boys .
In his Alumni Chapel Talk , Will Smith ’ 00 , also a graduate of Deerfield , Clemson , and Cornell University , shared the letter given to him by his advisor when he was a student at Cornell , pursuing his master ’ s in architecture . The note , framed , remains on Will ’ s desk to this day to remind him of the importance of foundations . Will connected this to his Saint David ’ s teachers - the builders who set that foundation .
Wagner Family Library Dedication
“ Our libraries are places to think , to escape , and to explore . Our librarians are citadels of knowledge , the guardians of wisdom , there to guide , inspire , and protect . This is the true legacy of the Wagner Family Gift that we celebrate ,” said Dr . O ’ Halloran on Tuesday , November 22 , 2022 , at the dedication of the Wagner Family Library . This beautifully designed space for Lower School boys ’ reading and learning was gifted by the Wagner family during the school ’ s All That We Can Be expansion campaign .

A Special Visitor
Sue Boll , who taught at Saint David ’ s during the 1960s , traveled from her home in Michigan primarily to visit Saint David ’ s in October . She was thrilled to see the school again after so many years , and amazed at how it has changed , yet stayed the same .
