With short video apps getting more and more addicting by the second , teenagers between the age of 13-18 tend to procrastinate much more . Procrastination , or the act of delaying tasks until the last minute , was found to be much more common after watching short videos . According to various studies and websites , short-form video addiction has been associated with academic procrastination . The National Library of Medicine says : “ The neurophysiological mechanisms of short-video addictive behaviors may impair brain regions associated with self-regulation , reducing inhibitory control .” What this basically means is that short-video addiction behaviors may damage parts of the brain that allows you to control yourself and stop procrastinating . Over time , that part of your brain will keep on getting damaged and damaged , and with this , it will be extremely hard to stop procrastination .

All in all , short video apps can do no good to you . They can cause addiction , procrastination , and other mental / physical cons to take place . The short video app feature should be banned because of the reasons listed above , but the whole app should not be banned so that you can socialize and communicate with those far away from you .
