Your Guide To Delhi , THE HISTORICAL PARADISE by Harsh Thukral
Beginning your India trip in Delhi will be a great way to understand Indian cities before visiting other cities . When visiting India there isn ’ t a lot for people to do it seems , but there are so many activities . A decent chunk of my time in India is always spent in Delhi , I often enjoy Delhi due to its improving infrastructure and fun environment . In Delhi , there are a lot of sightseeing locations and tuk-tuks , metros , and public bus transport systems readily in place for people .
Understanding Delhi ’ s History :
Delhi is a city rich in architecture from the Mughals and British . The Mughals were Persian and central Asian invaders by ethnicity and Muslim by religion , the significance of the Mughals in the history of Delhi is important because it influenced the architecture , religion , and food . The
Mughals invaded India for two to three hundred years , ac- cording to Britanicca it states “ ruled most of northern
India from the early 16th to the mid-18th century .” This time frame of invasions was very long and played a significant role in cultivating the Muslim religion amongst people . Lots of the kebabs and grilled meat you see from India is an imprint of Mughal culture on Indian cuisine . The architecture , mosques , tombs , and the infamous Taj Mahal were brought by the Mughals . The British left an imprint on Christian schools present in India , the British also left a mark on the monuments in Delhi for example the India Gate ( better to save for later ).
