New Year’s Eve (December
31th) and New Year
(January 1st)
The Three Kings Day
(January 6th)
On New Year’s Eve we say goodbye to the old year and
we welcome New Year. Traditionally people throw
smaller or bigger parties to celebrate the event. At
midnight we drink champagne and wish each other all
the best in the new year. We also admire the displays
of fireworks.
This is the Epiphany of the church calendar, the 12th
day after Christmas, when the Magi arrived bearing
gifts for baby Jesus. On this day you can see parades
in some Polish cities.
