Saint Nicholas( Sfantul Nicolae) on December 6th and November 19
Christmas Eve is the perfect night to spend time with all family members. Usually, we join to prepare the last things, gifts for relatives, Christmas meal, house decorations etc. In our country, children go caroling on Christmas Eve. It is very nice to meet children singing carols. They are dressed in traditional costumes. Also, all children are waiting for Santa Claus ' s gifts.( by Fronea Dumitrita, M-011, College of Ecology)
The Saint Nicholas considered the protector of the poor, who transformed into " Santa Nicolas " brings gifts to the children. They prepare their boots in the evening of 5th because the Santa Nicolas will put the gifts there. For those who have not been dutiful Santa will bring a " little rod " which also over time acquired the status of toy.
