O
n the fifth of this September,
the City of Winter Garden,
along with the Leukemia
Lymphoma Society of Central and
North Florida, officially proclaimed
September as Childhood Cancer
Awareness Month here in the WG. City
Hall was uplit in gold, store window
fronts displayed ribbons and other
gold accoutrements and small events
were held throughout the month to
help raise funds and awareness. To
round out the celebrated, on Friday,
October 5th, Rosallie Le French Café
hosted their Childhood Cancer Fund
Raiser, Rosallie at Night, a French
cheese & wine tasting event.
Having succesfully held several of
these events at his location in Las
Vegas, this particular event meant
something special to owner Jonathan
Pluvinet. Jonathan survived cancer twice
– once at the age of 23 and again at 27.
Now with two children, and as a father
reminiscing on his own experiences, he
holds this cause very close to heart.
