Some vendors may be familiar to visitors to the downtown area and to the
weekly Farmer’s Market – a few businesses are relocating, some opening
an additional outlet, while others are making the transfer from a weekly
marketplace to a more permanent location where they can better serve
customers.
In addition to this wide variety of vendors, the market will host live music
and art shows and provide a space for local community group meetings,
events and classes. The project, which is located just one block west of
City Hall, is at the corner of Plant Street and South Central Avenue. The
City of Winter Garden is supporting the development of the market by
providing building fee assistance, grants from the Community
Redevelopment Agency, and streetscape improvements, which includes
adding sidewalks, streetlights, utilities, benches, bike-racks, on-street
parking, and the addition of a 55-space parking lot across from the
Market.
The grand opening of the 12,000-square-foot Plant Street Market is
scheduled for March 14, the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day. For more
information and to keep abreast of their opening, please visit
