They approached local musician and singer/songwriter Layla Brisbois to coordinate the events and also act as host. This was a perfect idea as Layla is so tapped into the songwriter scene in the area. Layla, who also has her own agency called Slowhand Booking and had the opportunity to play The Bluebird stage in 2012, was thrilled to take on the task and "create a tight community of songwriters who support each other.” Layla continues, “I have so many amazing and talented friends and it gives me extreme joy to bring us all together to share these songs we’ve written with each other. It’s also a great opportunity to invite out new talent and get to meet them and hear them play.
