MADISON BLAIRE TURNER
Madison Blaire Turner is a trial attorney at Heartland Law in Bismarck, where she represents clients in divorce, custody, domestic-violence-related civil matters, and personal injury cases. Her practice is rooted in a lifelong commitment to protecting women and children and holding wrongdoers accountable.
Turner began law school at the University of Mississippi School of Law on a dean’ s merit scholarship before transferring to Florida State University College of Law, where she earned her juris doctor in 2019 and later completed a business law LL. M., graduating cum laude. She received outstanding student awards in legislation and legal research & writing II, served as a college of law student ambassador, and clerked for a United States magistrate judge. She also gained federal litigation experience with the U. S. Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security during law school.
Before joining Heartland Law, Turner served as an assistant state’ s attorney in Burleigh County, handling more than 1,300 court hearings, six jury trials, and successfully arguing a probable-cause appeal before the North Dakota Supreme Court. She continues to serve the public as a part-time special assistant state’ s attorney for Oliver County. She also previously worked in publicsector technology and partnerships, including as an account executive at Vector Solutions and manager of strategic partnerships at Quottly, sharpening her skills in negotiation and high-stakes advocacy.

After spending much of her life and early legal career in the South, Turner is proud to practice in a district where women serve on the bench and lead in the courtroom, and where she no longer feels that women are a minority in the profession— a culture that made her relocation to North Dakota both meaningful and deeply rewarding.
