ORRIN BURCH
Orrin Burch is an associate attorney at Pearce Durick PLLC in Bismarck . His practice focuses on general civil litigation , energy and natural resources law , oil and gas law , property law , and real estate .
Burch grew up in rural Mandan and attended the University of Mary , where he earned his bachelor ’ s degree in history and philosophy . After completing his undergraduate degree , he attended the University of North Dakota School of Law where he received his J . D . in 2022 . Following graduation from law school , he served as law clerk to the Honorable Jerod E . Tufte of the
North Dakota Supreme Court .
MORGAN BUTLAND WENTZ
Morgan Butland Wentz is an associate attorney at Smith Porsborg Schweigert Armstrong Moldenhauer & Smith in Bismarck . She graduated summa cum laude from the University of
North Dakota ( UND ) in 2018 , with a bachelor of science in criminal justice , minor in psychology , and a certification in writing and editing . After completing her undergraduate degree , Wentz received her J . D . from the UND School of Law in 2021 . During law school , Wentz served on the board of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and Student Trial Lawyers Association . Additionally , Wentz competed on the Phi Alpha Delta Mock Trial Team , provided pro bono legal services in the Family Law Clinical Practicum , and was the recipient of the Robert Vogel Scholarship .
Wentz was admitted to the North Dakota Bar in September 2021 . She works on a variety of cases , but primarily focuses her legal practice on general civil litigation , estate planning , probate , and business matters . Wentz and her husband , Alex , live in Bismarck . In her free time , she enjoys reading , biking , traveling , and spending time with her family .
