A Message from the Editor
Happy February 5NR ,
I would like to thank everyone for contributing to this newsletter . As I mentioned on page 12 , this year begins the 80th year of TOPSIDE ! This newsletter is successful for 2 reasons . The first one is because members like you are willing to contribute articles , pictures , and the like to each issue . The second reason for its success has been the staff ( past and most certainly present ) that have helped shape and build this magazine over the past 80 years .
In that light , I would like to formally thank the Topside team for another successful issue . It is only with their help and guidance that we have been able to produce such a quality newsletter , even in the context of COVID and greatly reduced activities .
I would also like to thank COMO Giannattasio , CDR Taylor-Davies , and Pamela Thompson , DSO-PE for their input and edits .
I am excited for this 80th year and cannot wait until the official 80th Anniversary issue .
