Hannah ’ s beautiful Bridal Affair gown was a surprise find , as she only popped into the Chermside store for a quick peek . “ I was struggling so much to find The One that I thought I might just see if they had any stand-out dresses as I was driving by ,” she says . “ I fell in love with it instantly , and begged the shop assistant to let me try it on . I took my mum back there the next day and bought it !” As she walked down the aisle to meet Lachlan , Hannah was taking part in a well-loved bridal tradition : carrying something old , something new , and something blue to meet her sweetheart . Rosary beads , gifted by her mother-in-law , were a sweet something blue ; an eternity rose from Lachlan was a link to their longstanding love , given to her six years prior . A sparkly something new — Hannah ’ s Ashlee and Lauren headband — completed the bridal look . Although raindrops fell as the ceremony began , it just added to the romantic atmosphere … although the happy couple barely noticed ! “ We were just so excited to see each other and get married that we didn ’ t even fuss over it ,” recalls Hannah .
The style notes for the day were lashings of greenery and rustic touches , playing beautifully against the secluded rainforest backdrop . Hannah and Lachlan left the details in the hands of the venue ’ s expert team , who ensured they incorporated a few twists unique to the pair . “ We loved the styling photos that Hideaway showcased , so we were super happy to go with the style they created ,” explains Hannah .
