The newlyweds credit their vendors with helping create such a seamless wedding experience . For Kate , their expertise helped create a day that was even better than they ’ d initially envisaged . “ Listen to the ideas your suppliers have ,” she advises . “ Sometimes , they ’ ll come up with something amazing that you ’ d never even thought of !” As Kate walked up the aisle on her stepfather ’ s arm , she had a few sentimental items woven into her bridal look , nodding to those who couldn ’ t be there . She wore a ring belonging to her late grandmother and also carried one of her embroidered handkerchiefs . Tied to her breathtaking bouquet ( crafted by Wedding Flowers by Keren ) was a photograph of her birth father .

Following their wedding , the couple escaped to The Whitsundays for a luxurious honeymoon at the exclusive Elysian Island Retreat , soaking up the sunshine and relishing those just-married moments . Almost a year later , the newlywed vibes are still strong for the pair , who are now looking to return to their Queensland roots and start a family . And maybe pass that love of netball on to the next generation !
