Next : finding an exquisite gown . Although she had always wanted a dress with a hint of colour , Kate ’ s Helena Couture Designs gown was “ even more beautiful than I could have imagined ,” she says . In layers of the palest blush tulle with an overlay of lace applique , Kate looked every inch the beautiful bride . It was also perfect for their dreamy Tropical Romance theme , styled by Magnolia Studios with lashings of greenery , masses of white and blush blooms and subtle hints of silver .
The wedding had to be rescheduled ( thanks Covid ), but the planning team took it all in their stride , effortlessly reworking the plans to make sure Michael and Kate would make it down the aisle . “ The entire team was amazing ,” Kate recalls . “ Even through Covid rescheduling , the original team never changed .”
Almost twelve months after their original date , the couple was game-ready . And with every detail just as they ’ d dreamed , their tropical romance came to fruition in the lush grounds of the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort on the Gold Coast . A beautiful outdoor ceremony was followed by an elegant indoor reception that channelled the romantic mood . And of course , an oceanfront photo shoot is a must when you ’ re celebrating steps away from such stunning Gold Coast beaches .
