The couple ’ s musical choices , including a string quartet and four-piece band , also kept the mood upbeat . “ We also organised a synchronised flash dance when We Are Family by Sister Sledge played ,” says Ashlee . “ We sent out a video tutorial prior and had the song come on just as the dance floor kicked off . It was also our last song and I hope this tradition might continue for our kids one day .” After finding her dream Chosen by KYHA gown , Ashlee hired a party dress with history . “ It was Amy Sheppard ’ s hen ’ s party dress ,” she reveals . “ The band played Geronimo by Sheppard as I danced back in !” And what does marriage mean to this fun-loving duo ? “ Continuing to date each other , adore each other , support each other , inspire each other and grow with each other ,” says Ashlee . “ It ’ s waking up every day and choosing each other .” The bride also has a few tips ( see more on p . 82 ) for couples still in planning mode . “ Spend money on things that are important to you . For us , that was the band , photographer , videographer and wow-factor moments ,” she says . “ And take the week off before the wedding . There ’ s always something that needs to happen last minute . You ’ ll thank yourselves !” The newlyweds visited Perth and Rottnest Island for their mini-moon with a month-long European sojourn slated for September .
