Cox Communications Northeast volunteers partnered with Center for Dynamic Learning students over two days . They rebuilt fences , painted and built chicken coops at Dare to Dream Ranch , a retreat in Foster , R . I ., that offers therapeutic programs for service members , veterans and their families . Cox volunteers also shared tips of their trade , career advice and stories of success , extending their impact .

Twenty Cox Communications Gulf Coast employees along with Cox Enterprises team members volunteered at Autism Pensacola ’ s Sensory Street in Florida , where children with autism attending the organization ’ s summer camp learned valuable life skills . Cox talent acquisition volunteers assisted older students with mock interviews , while supply chain volunteers facilitated a sorting exercise .

Since June , Cox ’ s integrated business technology team has volunteered with United Way of Greater Atlanta and Inspiredu . Members pushed the technology access needle in the city by providing over 25 STEAM-themed kits ; writing motivational messages to students ; and refurbishing over 100 computers that were donated to families in need through Inspiredu ’ s Learning Spark Initiative .

Manheim New Orleans , Manheim Tampa , Manheim Orlando and Manheim Fort Lauderdale held the 2021 Girl Talk fundraiser in memory of Roger Teate , former auction manager of Manheim St . Pete , from June 4 until July 28 . The effort raised $ 10,000 for the nonprofit from donors that included Cox team members , lifelong friends and others within the industry . The annual event continues the work of Roger , a 16-year veteran of Cox Automotive and dedicated volunteer and board member of Girl Talk , who passed away in March .

Cox Automotive ’ s Women with Drive members in Irvine , Calif ., volunteered to prepare a full meal at home and then deliver a hot entree , side dishes , dessert and drinks to WISEPlace in Santa Ana to provide lunch for the 35 women living in its shelter . WISEPlace , which doesn ’ t have a working kitchen , is an Orange County – based nonprofit leading the effort to end homelessness for unaccompanied women .
