Team Cox volunteers help at the Chattahoochee Nature Center ’ s Unity Garden .
Cox Automotive team members volunteered with the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell , Ga . They spent half a day planting , weeding and completing beautification projects in the center ’ s Unity Garden and greenhouse , which together supply more than 10,000 pounds of fresh produce annually to local food banks .
Cox Automotive team members supported the Hicksville Boys & Girls Club school supply drive .
More than 30 Cox Automotive team members in North Hills , N . Y ., rocked a school supply drive for Hicksville Boys & Girls Club , buying everything from crayons , glue and pencils to rulers , composition books and backpacks to help prepare the kids for the school year .
Cox Communications volunteers supported a two-day beautification effort at Atlanta ’ s Zonolite Park .
More than 60 Cox Communications team members , led by Johannes Eckert , volunteered at South Fork Conservancy for a two-day beautification effort . They made improvements and removed debris along 1½ miles of gravel trails in the 13-acre Zonolite Park in Atlanta . Johannes also serves on the board of South Fork Conservancy .

Jim Young has served as a big brother to Melvin for almost two years through Big Brothers Big Sisters Atlanta .
Cox Enterprises ’ Jim Young has served as a big brother to Melvin , a student at Chamblee Charter High School in Atlanta , through Cox ’ s Beyond School Walls partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters Atlanta since the program ’ s inception there in January 2019 . Jim meets with Melvin every two weeks throughout the school year , serving as a mentor for academic and life challenges . For his dedication , Jim was recently recognized by Big Brothers Big Sisters Atlanta with the Defender of Potential Award .

Cox Communications Southeast launched the Kids Rock the Moment Campaign as part of its inclusion , diversity and equity committee efforts . To date , more than 100 volunteers have performed online read-alouds , coached mindfulness and breathing activities , and hosted career talks benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs members . These activities were part of the campaign to celebrate student resiliency during this extended period of change due to COVID .
